I guess everybody has tried those delicious traditional Taiwanese desserts at Snowflake, except Ralph and me.
Last week, we finally decided it was time to check out what all the fuss was about and joined the queue. If we like it, then we will want more. If not, at least we have tried it.I was a bit overwhelmed by the menu selections - so many choices!

I decided to try their bestseller and Ralph ordered their "This month's special".
Snowflake bestseller (RM6.90) - Grass Jelly Ice + Grass Jelly + Taro Balls + Creamer.
Taro balls are glutinous yam balls about the size of a 50sen coin. The taro balls were so good, gloriously chewy and sweet!

At the bottom was a bed of grass jelly-flavored shaved ice and I mixed it all together to create a wonderful bowl of dessert.
I've had shaved ice before, but nothing as authentic as this.
This month's special: Sesame Sensation (RM6.90) - "Peanut Ice" + Sesame Balls + Baby Pearls + Red Bean + Lotus Seeds (RM1.50).
I'm not a big fan of peanut, red beans and lotus seeds but Ralph loved it.
These fresh, handmade desserts without artificial flavorings or preservatives is an addictive pleasure so we're not surprised that people still flock to the outlet and stay until almost closing time!
