Liverpool FC vs. Malaysia XI @ Bukit Jalil National Stadium

Ralph and his friends went to Bukit Jalil National Stadium today for a lifetime experience of watching one of the top English football clubs, Liverpool FC team play with the Malaysian Harimau Muda football team!

#1 Ralph, Henry and Aubrey.

Even though I didn't go with them, I'm glad they had a delightful time watching these two teams played live, regardless of who won or lost.

Obviously, the experience of watching a football game live in a stadium full of fans is completely different from the experience of watching the game on TV. Part of the difference is, of course, the fact that they're watching the game take place in 3D and the energy of the crowd completely changes the feeling of watching the game. Crowds of people with their cheering and booing, their excitement and anger, their painted faces and hands filled with stadium food are crowds of people that add another dimension to the game.

Oh, I was told there were about 84,000 people attended the match!

Anyway, these are the pictures taken by Ralph, with the Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD macro lens.

Wow, after loosing to Arsenal in the first EPL Asian Tour 2011, Malaysia has performed quite well! However, the Reds beat Malaysia 6-3, scoring five times in the second half after a sluggish start to the friendly.

#67 The final score: Malaysia 3 - 6 Liverpool.
