Wedding Reception @ Dewan SJK (C), Sg. Way

Like any other Indian wedding, Indian Christian weddings are followed by dinner receptions after the wedding ceremonies are conducted in the church.

Well, the big day finally came and my friend, Alvin is now a married man! I've known him for many years, but it was the first time I met Samantha, his beautiful wife.

#1 I was delighted to attend. It was delight mixed with a great deal of curiosity. As I said before, it was the first Indian wedding reception I, The Oddball had been to.

Indian culture is all about being colorful and vibrant. As promised, here are the pictures from the wedding reception of Alvin & Samantha.

The groom and the bride dressed like a prince and princess entered the hall, accompanied by a group of Bhangra dancers.

#14 Alvin & Samantha.

There were Bhangra and Bollywood dance groups to entertain the guests at the wedding reception. The impact of the music on everyone was astonishing. They were up and breaking out in the most incredible dance moves. I was truly amazed. It was just like in a Bollywood movie!

#30 The dinner was served family style, the food was placed in the center of the table and each guest helps her/himself.

The food was good, but I could only eat very little because... well, I'm not going to lie; I'm not really into Indian food.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Two notable differences were that there was no alcohol and no kissing!

Congratulations Alvin and Samantha! Have fun on your honeymoon.
