"Yoga on Water"

During our last trip to Langkawi, we dropped by a private white sand beach which was the perfect place to sit and soak up some sun while enjoying the crystal-clear azure waters. This place also provided a host of water activities including snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, windsurfing and paddle boarding. Well, I love being on, in and around the water. But, I have never tried any water sports before. Why? Because I can't swim, I have a deathly fear of drowning and I've had a fear of deep water! I know. I know life jacket is provided but I just couldn't get over my fear. Smiley

Anyway, have you ever tried stand up paddle boarding? Currently, this sport is booming everywhere in the world.

Many others claim that the beauty of stand up paddle boarding is the health benefits and it is best described as "Yoga on Water". A paddle board can enhance a yoga or fitness workout because you have to maintain your balance on the board throughout the workout routine. Its great exercise for your lower back muscles and your legs in particularly. It's also a great way to keep you arms looking trim and many people think its one of the best cardio exercises they have done.

Florida Paddleboard Retailers are known to carry the top brands paddle boards designed for differing levels from beginner to an advance competitive racer. The boards are larger than a surf board enabling a person to stand on top and paddle. This is a fun sport that I guess I should try as this is not as fearful as playing in a deep water. The biggest plus, is that it's an enjoyable core fitness exercise on the planet; leave the world behind at the water's edge and let the dance take over!

Do you have a love for water sports (other than swimming)?
