One and a half primary school children in every ten wear glasses. I am glad I WAS not the half! Thank God I do not have nearsightedness or farsightedness. But, I have a refractive problem which I am not sure what it is called. One night, I told my dad I can see near objects clearly when driving at night but on-coming traffic would appear blurred. It was during the CNY and I was at Tawau. So, he took me for an eye exam. After my eye exam, the optometrist said I need glasses. I was like, what?! OMG! I need glasses?! I felt unhappy. I told my dad, no! I will look ugly. It will hurt my ears. It will hurt my nose. People would call me four eyes and a whole heap of other reasons. My dad said, "You'll not look ugly dear. Go and choose a frame style that you like." At first, I felt really uncomfortable with glasses. I don't want to wear contact lenses either because for me is a hassle. I know I can't deal with it. Therefore, I never considered about it. Now, I only have to wear my favorite
eyeglasses when I drive at night.
